The challenge

A wholesaler's staff placed orders with whichever supplier they chose, ignoring the prices the owner had negotiated, and orders agreed by sales reps were being missed. Some products could only be sourced from a handful of suppliers, so the owner had no choice but to let staff source freely.

What I did

I designed and built a B2B sourcing and comparison platform. It takes in high-volume, high-speed orders and splits them into waves of separate orders, routing each product to the lowest-cost supplier for that account. Staff got a single place to order, while the system handled the sourcing.

The result

Orders that would otherwise have been lost were captured automatically, and every product went to the best-priced supplier for that account without staff having to think about it.

The challenge

An online electronics retailer needed a bespoke CRM and e-commerce platform, and a much faster way to photograph products and upload specifications. Each new listing was eating hours of staff time.

What I did

I researched, planned and delivered the platform, automated the photography and specification workflow, then trained the staff and supported the system in production.

The result

Work that used to take a couple of hours now happens in about ten minutes.

What I did

I built a just-in-time order management system that works with any number of steps or stations, coordinating them so final assembly happens exactly when it's needed.
