Infrastructure that stays up.

On-prem, cloud or hybrid: I design and build platforms that stay up, grow when you need them to, and cost what they should. Then I make sure your team can run them.

The short version, in a few minutes.

A plain-English walkthrough of this page. Prefer reading? Everything in the video is covered below.

Sound familiar?

You might be here because…

  • Our cloud bill keeps growing and nobody can explain why.
  • We moved to the cloud and things got slower, not faster.
  • Nobody dares touch the servers in case something breaks.
  • Every environment was set up by hand, and they're all slightly different.
The problem

What's really going on.

Infrastructure tends to grow one urgent request at a time. Servers get built by hand, cloud accounts multiply, and the network ends up shaped by history rather than design. It works, until it doesn't.

The cost shows up as outages nobody can diagnose quickly, bills that keep creeping up, slow releases and security gaps. Moving to the cloud doesn't fix any of that on its own. Done badly, it moves the same problems somewhere more expensive.

When to call me

Sound like you?

  • You're planning a move to cloud or hybrid, or rethinking one that hasn't delivered.
  • Outages are frequent, or slow to diagnose.
  • Your cloud costs are rising faster than your business.
  • Environments are hand-built and hard to reproduce.
  • You need senior infrastructure expertise for a project, extra capacity or ongoing support.
How I approach it

Step by step.

  1. Step 01
    Assess

I review what you run today: servers, cloud, network, costs, resilience, and how changes reach production.

  2. Step 02
    Design

I design the target platform, whether on-prem, cloud, hybrid or microservices, around your workloads, risks and budget.

  3. Step 03
    Codify

Infrastructure as code makes environments repeatable, reviewable and easy to rebuild.

  4. Step 04
    Automate

CI/CD and DevOps practices make changes small, tested and routine, with containers and Kubernetes where they genuinely help.

  5. Step 05
    Hand over

Your team gets documentation and training, so they can run the platform with confidence.

What changes

The outcome.

  • A platform that's documented, repeatable and easier to change.
  • Clearer, more predictable running costs.
  • Fewer outages, and faster recovery when something does go wrong.
  • Security designed in from the start, not added afterwards.
  • A team that understands and owns its infrastructure.

Questions people ask

Something not covered here? Ask me directly →

Should we move everything to the cloud?

Not necessarily. Some workloads are better on-prem, and many organisations end up hybrid. I recommend what fits your systems, risks and budget, with no platform agenda.

Can you work alongside our IT team or provider?

Yes. I can lead, advise or add capacity, whichever helps most, and I document as I go so nothing depends on me.

Do you look after infrastructure once it is built?

Yes. A monthly retainer covers ongoing support and maintenance for the systems you cannot afford to have fail. See ways to work with me.

How quickly can you start?

I'm available now and taking new engagements. Tell me what you need and when, and we'll agree a start date on the first call.

Is your infrastructure holding you back?

Tell me what you run, where it hurts and what you're planning. I'll give you an honest view of the options.
